WOOLY UMBRELLA

This is a rear,easy piece of craft that will beautify your room.try it out.

You'll need

wire-umbrella frame(available in craft stores)
wool Cover the base of the frame by wrapping the wool around it.
When you have finished with the base ,start covering the middle wire with the same process until you reach the top.
Take a round in one of the umbrella sticks and reach the next wire .take a loop in it and continue the process till you have finished with the top frame.
The insides should look like this.

You can decorate it by hanging small bells on the sides of the top frame.

LIGHT BULB CRAFT

The skill of a creative man is in turning his households into beautiful crafts. Fused light bulbs are often a curse to our families. HERE IS the way to turn them into funny figures.

You’ll need:

   Light bulbs

   Acrylic colours

 Decorative cloth

Colour the bulb’s glass with orange  and top with light green acrylic colour.

Paint black for eyes and mouth or use markers.

Tie the cloth around the top as shown and add stars or tags. (View Christmas tag making).

Want to make something funny out of dad’s old tie? Here is an excellent, quirky way to amaze and frighten your friends.

Materials needed:
      Tie

Big  plain sequences(for eye)

Cotton

Satin ribbon

Paint black circles on the center of two sequences and sew them to the top fold of the tie.

 Insert cotton and push it as far as it may go. Stuff cotton until the bottom and sew the bottom part.

Attach tongue by sewing the red satin ribbon on the back of the tie.

Your scare toy is ready………

Make funny figures out of paper plate

Paper plate can be used to make numerous craft figures. This project is the simplest and easiest way to decorate your room. The pleasure of creating something good ourselves can’t be explained with words. Try it out yourselves.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

v    Paper plates

v    Water colors

v    Chart papers

v    Markers.

v    Ice cream sticks

Turn the plate over. Color it as shown with water colors.

Use markers for drawing the scratch marks and mouth

Cut two circles out of white chart paper and two smaller circles out of black paper. Stick them as shown.

Color ice cream sticks black and glue them on the back.

BUTTON BOUQUET

Bouquets make a room cute, especially when they are made up of lovely buttons. Here is the perfect bouquet that suits your table.

§        Colorful buttons of all sizes

§        Felt of different colors

§        Straws.

Cut felt into different flower and leave shapes.

 Sew or glue smaller buttons on larger ones. Sew them in the centre of each flower.

Staple the straw on to the flower under the buttons.

Glue in the leaves on to the straw.

Your bouquet is ready!!!

HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE POP UP CARD

Everyone loves pop up cards. Here is an easy-to-make pop up card for you to share with your friends.

Materials needed

v     Card stock

v     Paper

v     Scissors

v     ruler

step 1: fold the paper in half and mark as shown in fig.

step 2:cut along the lines . 

step3:fold the cuts forwards and backwards a couple of times.

         Push the cuts inside the paper and make sure that it is well- folded before you close.

Step 4:stick the paper into the card and decorate.

HOW TO MAKE PAPER BAGS

 Tired of the brown paper bags?? Well ,colored ,pretty paper bags are easy to make and are absolutely eco- friendly .Here is the basic paper bag making method for you to make and enjoy.

Materials needed

• Colored gift wrappers or design papers.
• Glue
• Gift ribbons.

                          I.      Fold the paper in half in a way that one side overlaps the other by an inch . Glue them together.

                       II.      Fold the sides of the folded side in about 1-2 cm.fold it backwards and inwards. You should get fold marks on either sides.

                     III.      push the middle fold mark so that it comes inside the fold marks of either side.

                    IV.      For covering up the bottom, fold the bottom part in a couple of centimeters which can vary according to the size of your paper.

                       V.      Push the sides of the folded parts on both sides inside so that you get triangular folds. Fold the other two sides and glue them together

                    VI.      Punch holes at either side of the top .Insert ribbons(I used coloured shoe laces) and make knots at the back.

Your paper bag is ready!!! Show it off to your friends and have fun.

Materials needed

Buttons of different colors and sizes.

Felt

Glue

Glue smaller buttons on larger ones  and  sew them on to the felt.

Open the clips and glue the felt onto it.

Your hair clip is ready to be admired by your family and friends!!

christmas gift tags

Christmas gift tags.

Gift tags are cute and are easy to make. You can use them to decorate your gifts and even as a bookmark! Here is the “recipe” to turn household objects into lovely gift tags.

What you’ll need:

• Ice-cream sticks
• Felt
• Buttons
• Tag Ribbons
• Satin ribbons
• Markers

colour the  each sticks as shown.

Cut out felt for beard and hat .glue them on.

For eyes, apply white glue and place a small black bead in center.

Glue buttons on to the snowman and tie the satin ribbon around its waist.

Add brow and ears to the reindeer with felt. Fold brown ribbons and glue them on its back as shown.Tie ribbons on its waist.

Insert the tag ribbons into the holes in about  5-6 cm and tie knots.

Your tags are ready!have fun!

How to make a ballerina finger puppet

Finger puppets are easy to make and are very cute.

What you'll need:

fig 1

• card papers
• sketch pens
• rubber bands
• decorative cloth piece

step 1:cut out an outline of a dancing puppet leaving two holes of the size of your fingers at middle

step 2:Colour the figure adding googly eyes as shown in fig 2
step 3: Slide  the rubber band inside the decorative cloth                                  
step 4:Tie the cloth around the puppet's waist using rubber band.      

                                                                         

                                            step 5:Insert your fingers through the holes.
